The U.S. Department of State issues these annual reports on human rights practices in countries around the world.

Country Reports on Terrorism

U.S. law requires the Secretary of State to provide Congress, by April 30 of each year, a full and complete report on terrorism with regard to those countries and groups meeting criteria set forth in the legislation. This annual report is entitled Country Reports on Terrorism. Beginning with the report for 2004, it replaced the previously published Patterns of Global Terrorism. Each Report includes a chapter on terrorist organizations and provides statistical information.

Diplomatic List

This website, published quarterly by the U.S. Department of State, has the names of the ambassadors and staffs of all foreign embassies located in Washington, DC.

Foreign Consular Offices in the United States

This website, compiled by the U.S. Department of State with the full cooperation of the foreign missions in Washington,  contains the consular offices' addresses, phone numbers, and consul names.  

United Nations

World Leaders

The Central Intelligence Agency issues this continuously updated list of chiefs of state and cabinet members of foreign governments.

The World Statesmen Web site contains a wealth of information about world leaders, as well as exhaustive geographical and historical information about their countries. Notable features include an extensive listing of global terrorist organizations and an index of major world conflicts since 1700.
