This library of TV theme music has sound clips of over 6,000 songs from shows old and new, including sitcoms, kiddie shows, soap operas, and sports programs.  Covers both British and American television.   

TV Acres: The Web's Ultimate Subject Guide to Television

TV Acres is a huge archive of TV program facts and trivia, arranged by subject, and covering shows that aired from the 1940s to the present. Frequently checked and updated, the site is divided into sections on characters, places, and things on television. There is also a nicely written section of character bios and a page of links to other television resources.

TV Guide

TV Guide Online includes everything that the print edition has: articles, news, photos, and TV listings, in addition to a collection of online videos of popular shows.

TV Land

Find out when your old favorites will be on television. Get the history of classic shows and full episode guides. You can also view excerpts of shows from the 1950s - 1980s and hear sound clips of famous TV theme songs.
