Local Film, Video and Television Organizations

Baltimore City's cable public access channel broadcasts a host of new prime time programs in addition to local government coverage. They also offer Media Production Services.

This public access TV program, airing locally on channels 24 (WUTB) and 71 (HCC-TV), provides viewers with an inside view of the dynamic local film industry.

Creative Alliance
Creative Alliance hosts screenings and lends support and resources to Baltimore's independent filmmaking community with workshops, career development, and places for filmmakers to gather, network, and share their passions.

Maryland Public Television

Maryland Film Festival
This annual five-day film festival takes place in early May, but the MFF also screens select films throughout the year at area venues.

Maryland Film Industry Coalition
This is an alliance of business leaders, labor unions, educational institutions, government entities and individuals dedicated to improving business conditions for Maryland's film industry.

Producer's Club of Maryland, Inc.
The Producer's Club supports the Baltimore Film Office and Maryland Film Office; organizes the annual Maryland Film Festival and REEL Maryland small business conference and produces the Maryland Regional Production Guide.

WMAR-TV News Collection (University of Baltimore)
The Special Collections division of the University of Baltimore's Langsdale Library has archival WMAR-TV News stock footage in video and 16mm film formats. The collection is partially indexed by year and subject. The 16mm archives cover 1948-1981 and the video archives cover 1981 to March 1987.
