Growing Griots Literacy Learning Program

The Walbrook Branch hosts this 25-week program that helps young adults work on developing their reading, writing, listening, public speaking, and critical thinking skills while learning to tell stories in the African Oral Tradition. Along with the Enoch Pratt Free Library, the program's sponsors include the Greater Baltimore Urban League, the National Great Blacks in Wax Museum, the Griots' Circle of Maryland, Inc., and the Injured Workers Insurance Fund. Computer Lab

Our lab, which hold 12 computers, is home to a variety of free computer classes. The topics of the classes include Basic Skill Building, Introduction to Computers, Microsoft Word I and II, Microsoft Graphics, and Internet. Call the branch (410-396-0935) or stop by to register for a class.
