Pratt Library Renovations
The Pratt Library is committed to pursuing ongoing facility improvements throughout our 22-building system in support of our mission to empower, enrich, and enhance the quality of life for all through equitable access to information, services, and opportunity. Reisterstown Road
The Reisterstown Road Branch is closed as of March 29, 2026 for an interior refresh. The branch is expected to reopen in Fall 2026.

Forest Park Branch
The Forest Park Branch is closed for a full-scale renovation. Work is expected to begin early 2026 with anticipated completion in 2028.

Washington Village Branch
The Washington Village Branch is closed for facility improvements, with an interior refresh planned for late 2025 into summer 2026. This project is being funded by American Rescue Plan funding through the Mayor’s Office of Recovery Programs in addition to private support.

New Library Construction
The following are plans for brand new building construction of library spaces:
Park Heights Branch
A new branch of the Pratt Library serving the Park Heights neighborhood is expected to begin construction in Fall 2025 with a projected opening in 2027.
