The Canton Branch, erected in 1886, is the last remaining of the four original Pratt Branches. It is on the National Registry of Historic Places and occupies a unique location at the intersection of O'Donnell Street and S. Ellwood Avenue in the heart of Canton.
The Canton Charrette
In June of 2007 Enoch Pratt Free Library held a community meeting, called a "charrette," to solicit input about refurbishing the Canton Branch. The input was collated into a report which is available below. The Canton community is invited and encouraged to view this report and share any comments you may have via e-mail (cnt@prattlibrary.org), fax (see below), postal mail, or stop by with your printed suggestions. The report is in Adobe Acrobat format and requires the free Acrobat Reader software in order to view. If you do not have the Acrobat Reader, you can download it here. The charrette report is here.
