What Are We Recommending This Month?

j0285307.gifCome to the Washington Village Branch to browse and checkout some of the books by either your favorite author or be introduced to a new author. This month we are recommending African American Authors who write in the Mystery Genre.

One of the most prolific writers of the 20th and 21st century is Walter Mosley.  He is renowned for his Ezekiel "Easy" Rawlings, black private investigator series, the Protagonist, which was published from 1990 to 2007 to his current character Leonid McGill, New York City, Black Private Detective in the 2009 publication of  “The Long Fall.”

Here are a few of his books that we recommend  that are excellent reading!!

Devil in the Blue Dress                                      Easy Rawlings series

A Red Death                                                    Easy Rawlings series

White Butterfly                                                  Easy Rawlings series

Bad Boy Brawly Brow                                      Easy Rawlings series

Blonde Faith                                                     Easy Rawlings series

Fearless Jones                                                  Fearless Jones  series

The Long Fall                                                   Leonid McGill  series

Other African-American  MysteryAuthors we recommend are:

Lemon City                                                      Elaine Merly Brown

Death, Deceit and some  smooth  jazz              Claudia Mair Burney
