The Pratt Library is partnering with the American Red Cross to do blood drives in Baltimore City this week, and they will be at the Southeast Anchor Library on Thursday, August 27 from 2-7 p.m. Did you know that 60% of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood, but only 5% donate on a yearly basis?   The need is great, and you can help!  An extra incentive -- every person who participates gets a FREE pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. 1950’s and 60’s cover band The Retro-Rockets will be rocking the Southeast Anchor Library this Thursday, August 13 at 5:30pm. Drink some Love Potion #9, put on your blue suede shoes, and get ready to twist the night away! Come join us at our sock hop -- shoes optional!

Artist Ben Byrum visited the Southeast Anchor Library on Thursday, August 6 to teach teens the creative techniques of air brush design. Striking symbols, characters, and patterns were created and even used as temporary tattoos! Teens (and a few staff) show off their super-cool body art.
