Computer Access @ Your Library!
Is your PC misbehaving? Looking for a quiet place to finish some school work? The Southeast Anchor Library is here for you, Monday through Saturday. We’re equipped with over 50 computers for public use, plus we offer free wireless internet access (as do most Pratt locations)! With a valid library card, you can use our public PCs for up to four hours per day and get your first five prints free. If you’re visiting us, just show your valid out-of-state identification at our Circulation Desk to receive a visitor’s pass which allows you up to two hours of PC access. Just a word of warning – even with 50 public computers, you may experience a wait; in the first six months of 2010, we logged 70,863 user sessions on our computers!
Libraries offer so much more than just books these days. Come visit us and find out more. See you at the Library!

Starting Tuesday, September 1, picking up your materials on reserve at the Southeast Anchor Library just got easier. There is now a designated Holds Pick-Up Shelf located on the first floor near the Circulation Desk and the DVD section. Items will be filed on this shelf by the first four letters of your last name and the last four digits of your library card number. The only materials that will not be placed on the self-service shelf are Direct Loans and any interlibrary loan materials. As always, you will be notified that your materials are available either by a telephone call or an email, if there is a valid email address associated with your account, and we will continue to hold these materials for one week.
The Pratt Library is partnering with the American Red Cross to do blood drives in Baltimore City this week, and they will be at the Southeast Anchor Library on Thursday, August 27 from 2-7 p.m. Did you know that 60% of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood, but only 5% donate on a yearly basis? The need is great, and you can help! An extra incentive -- every person who participates gets a FREE pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Click
