This is for all the Horror fans out there that are tired of reading the same authors again and again. Don’t get me wrong, Stephen King, Anne Rice and Clive Barker are the cream of the crop, but if you’re looking for something a little different, check out a book by Caitlin R. Kiernan. She is the empress of the macabre! I discovered her 5 years ago and have been a die hard fan ever since. Ms. Kiernan first started writing with Neil Gaiman (of recent Coraline fame) for his graphic novels series: The Sandman. She has written for horror magazines and short story collections as well as writing many novels herself. Her work can be described as dark fantasy and is quite disturbing and morbidly enthralling.
