The Library offers customers free access to over 60 research databases. They contain scholarly journal articles, reports, images, newspapers and more, on a variety of topics. Here are a few examples:

Children's Department Collection and State Library Resources

Introduction

Come down the stairs where stories are told, songs are sung and young minds are exposed to the wonders of the world. You will find:

  • 60,000 plus books, audio books and cassettes
  • computers reserved specifically for children under 12
  • a fish pond with a fountain
  • friendly librarians willing to help you explore!

We serve children from birth to age 12 and have weekly programs for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers. Check our newsletter or the website for programs for children between the ages of 6-12. See the "Calendar" tab above to see them all or click here.
