Brooklyn is ready for Summer!!!

Summer Reading Kick Off 

Saturday June 12th from 2-4 p.m.

Grab bags, treats, balloons for the children who sign up for the 2010 Summer Reading Program.  Reading  for fun -with fun activities throughout the summer. Begins on June 12 and ends August 7th

Thursday, February 11, 1 p.m. at the Brooklyn Branch.

Ages 6-12   

Who were the Buffalo Soldiers? Are they still around?  Look back at African-American and American history through books.

Vote for your all time favorite Baltimore Oriole... Brooks, Cal, Jimbo, Tejada, Eddie. There are so many to choose from!!!!

Kickoff this Summer's Reading Program with some Creative Gardening!

Plant some herbs and flowers when you sign up for the Summer Reading Program on Saturday, June 6 from 1-3PM

Readers of all ages are welcome!!

Ranger Jim Rogers from Baltimore's own Fort McHenry will explain why the National Anthem is 'our song'.

Come join us to learn the story of how the anthem was born in Baltimore.

Calling all tweens and teens to join Charese Robinson for an afternoon of making snacks you'll love to eat!

On Thursday, February 5 at 3:30 PM the Brooklyn Branch will host its first ever forum for Manga. In prepartion for this event, please consider your views on Best Series, Best Storyline, Best Illustrations and Best Characters. Who are the writers and illustrators that keep you eager for more Manga? What originally sparked your interest in this genre?
