Strategic Partnerships
The Library is nurturing existing partnerships and creating new partnerships to deliver programs and services, both within library facilities and in communities.
Establish partnership policy and criteria as well as planning and evaluation tools.
Assess existing partners and partnerships and refine or clarify shared outcomes and goals when necessary.
Evaluate current program, service, and collection offerings to ensure that the Library meets current needs while reducing duplication of community services.
Identify new partnerships where needed to meet or strengthen programmatic and outreach goals.
Make equity and inclusivity major factors in the creation and strengthening of partnerships.
During the past fiscal year, the Pratt has worked with existing partners to transition to a virtual environment, and created new partnerships in support of programmatic goals around literacy, equity, workforce development, trauma-informed services, and family and youth services.
The Library is nurturing partnerships in the community through programs like Read to Reef, Social Worker in the Library and Lawyer in the Library. The Pratt has also partnered with the Baltimore City Health Department to distribute critical information, and the Baltimore City Public Schools with the One Book Baltimore program.

Initiatives

Progress
The Library is in the beginning stages of completing this goal.
In FY 2022/2023 the Library will focus on finalizing the partnership evaluation tool, surveying partners for IMLS equity, focusing partners on key organizational focus areas for FY 22/23 (digital literacy/equity, health equity, workforce development, youth engagement and literacy).
