Does your employer have a matching gift program? Matching gifts
can increase the impact your gift has on the Pratt Library's work! Please contact your employer's human resources office for details.
Planned giving options allow you to provide for the Pratt Library in your estate plans. Examples of planned gifts are bequests, transfer of IRA plans, and charitable remainder trusts. Contact the Institutional Advancement Office
for more details.
Matching gifts maximize the impact your gift can have on the Pratt Library's work. Many companies will match the charitable contributions made by their employees to non-profit organizations. Many companies match an employee's gift to the Pratt Library dollar for dollar making, for example, a gift of $25 is worth $50 to the Pratt Library. Others will double or even triple the contribution!
How can you take advantage of a matching gift program?
Contact your employer's human resource office to see if your company matches charitable contributions made by employees.
Request a copy of the company's matching gift form. Please review the program guidelines to see if the Enoch Pratt Free Library is eligible to receive matching gifts from your company.
Complete the matching gift form and send it to the Pratt Library's Institutional Advancement Office
along with your gift. Upon receipt, the Institutional Advancement Office will complete our portion of the form and return it to your employer. The matching gift will be sent directly to the library.
Many companies will also match gifts made by employee spouses, retirees, and Board members. Some will also match your volunteer hours.
Please ask your human resources office about matching gifts today. The additional funds have a substantial impact on the Pratt Library's work!
Is My Gift Tax-deductible?
The Enoch Pratt Free Library is a registered 501(c)3, non-profit organization.
Gifts are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
Is the Enoch Pratt Free Library City Supported?
The Library is designated as the Maryland State Library Resource Center and therefore does receive funds from both the city and the state. However, City funds have dwindled over the years and the funds received are not at an adequate level to support the programs and services our patrons need and expect from a public library system.
Does the City Operate the Enoch Pratt Free Library?
