The branch libraries are interested in expanding our current after-school tutoring programs. We are looking for volunteers to tutor at various branch libraries, for 1½- 2 hour shifts on weekdays. Volunteers will set their schedules with the managers of the branches where they will volunteer.
Retired teachers or librarians, or anyone with experience working with middle school and young adult students preferred, but anyone who wants to help is welcome. There is a background check for volunteers for this program.

The Volunteer Program is an integral part of the Library’s operation. The Volunteer Services office will match your skills and interests to projects which suit your schedule and availability. Volunteer assignments may be short-term or long term, and volunteers assist in the central library departments as well as the neighborhood branches. In addition, volunteers assist with special programs throughout the year.
If you would like to volunteer at one of our neighborhood branches, you can contact that branch directly. The contact person in the branch is usually the Branch Manager or the Children's Librarian.
If you would like to volunteer at the Central Library, or would like more information, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at (410) 396-9940 or vso@prattlibrary.org by email.
