The Fine Arts and Music Department

Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James

What book would you recommend to readers right now, and why?
Any book written by Toni Morrison, but particularly The Bluest Eye (1970) because Ms. Morrison wrote this book while she was teaching at Howard University, and she was a single African American mother of two.

What is one book you could not finish, and why?
I don't ever want to stop reading the Holy Bible because it's the most wonderful book ever written. It is the Holy Word transferred to man by God's Holy Spirit for man to live and eat by.

What is the last thing you came to the Library to find?
Research information on fashion designing, which is one of my hobbies and special interests.

What is your favorite memory of the Library?
When I was a little girl, I loved coming to the Enoch Pratt Free Library. I was in elementary school and my favorite teacher took my class to the library. I was so excited and in awe of the library as a little girl.

What is one thing you want everyone to know about the Library?
The library is wonderful. It's magical, and has a vast variety of information and knowledge. The library is my peace and sanity.
