We know that you don’t always carry cash with you when you come to the library. Or, maybe you do, but would rather pay your library bills with your credit card. Instead of waiting in line, you can now pay your fines or add money to your SAM account with cash or credit card using the newly upgraded SAM Kiosks that are located at the Central Library and the Hamilton Branch. Now, you can easily pay fines and fees at the kiosks, and payments are automatically posted to your account in real time.

By using the touch screen, customers can choose to Deposit Money into their Account, Pay Fines or Get a Copy Card.

For customers who do not have a library card but need to use the copier, if you select the Get A Copy Card option, a receipt with a barcode will print after you have deposited money into the kiosk. Don’t forget to take your receipt after you have added money to your account. To make copies, just scan the receipt at the copier.

Remember, the Enoch Pratt Free Library also accepts online payments to securely pay library fines, fees, or add money to a SAM account using SmartPay.

When will this be expanded to other branches?

Thank you for your comment. The library will be evaluating the usage of the upgraded kiosks at the two pilot sites to determine the feasibility of expanding to other locations.
