Baltimore City HIV Planning Group and Commission (HPG)

Board Information

The purpose of this process is to improve HIV prevention programs by strengthening the scientific basis, community relevance, key stakeholder involvement, population or risk-based focus of HIV prevention interventions, and communication and coordination of services across the continuum of HIV prevention, care, and treatment in alignment with the Baltimore Healthy People 2015 goal to reduce new HIV infections in Baltimore City by 25% by 2015. Thereafter, the HPG will continue to guide the work of BCHD and establish further goals that will ultimately lead to zero new infections.
