Available Services

Social workers at the Library can:

  • Meet with library patrons on a one-on-one basis, either in person at select branches or over the phone
  • Provide a compassionate space to discuss needs
  • Determine an action plan for addressing needs
  • Assist with completing applications
  • Assist with connecting library patrons to other community organizations and resources, including other Social Impact programs at the Library

Social workers at the Library cannot:

  • Provide clinical services or therapy
  • Provide direct financial support
  • Provide direct services outside of referrals
  • Make eligibility determinations for social service programs
