The Children's Department is located downstairs from the main entrance.  Upon entering the library, cross the main hall and go to the far left side and through the entryway.  Go down two short flights of stairs and through the hallway to the entrance of the Children's Department.  There is an elevator available for caregivers with strollers and the physically disabled.  The Children's Department is on floor 2S.

Come down to where stories are told, songs are sung and young minds are exposed to the wonders of the world.

The Children's Department serves children from birth through age 12, their caregivers, teachers, and members of the general public interested in children's literature. We present weekly programs for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and the caregivers of these children. Check the Compass or the Pratt website for specially scheduled programs for children between the ages of 6-12.
