About the Program

The Pratt Library is partnering with the Baltimore City's Mayor's Office of Employment Development to place youth ages 14 to 21 in paid summer job positions throughout our Library system.

Participants matched with the Pratt Library can expect to work in a variety of positions to gain valuable skills and learn about library science, program planning for all ages, education and working with youth, technology services and IT, leadership, facilities and building management, and more!

YouthWorks 2024 will run for five weeks, from July 8 through August 9. YouthWorkers must be available to work up to 25 hours a week for the full duration of the program between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm at a rate of $15 per hour. Meals and transportation assistance are available through YouthWorks.
