YouthWorks
Baltimore city youth ages 14 through 21 can apply to work at the Pratt Library this summer with YouthWorks, a paid summer job program through the Baltimore Mayor's Office of Employment Development.
About the Program
The Pratt Library is partnering with the Baltimore City's Mayor's Office of Employment Development to place youth ages 14 to 21 in paid summer job positions throughout our Library system.
Participants matched with the Pratt Library can expect to work in a variety of positions to gain valuable skills and learn about library science, program planning for all ages, education and working with youth, technology services and IT, leadership, facilities and building management, and more!
YouthWorkers must be available to work up to 25 hours a week for the full duration of the program between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm at a rate of $15 per hour. Meals and transportation assistance are available through YouthWorks.
YouthWorks 2026 will run June 29 through July 31.
