Donna Henrie MS-HRD, PHR joined the Pratt Library in January 2024 as Chief Human Resources Officer. She has a Master of Science Degree in Human Resource Development from Towson University, holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification, and has over 20 years of HR experience. In her role, Donna oversees the Human Resources Department which includes staff engagement, talent acquisition and recruiting, employee & labor relations, learning & development, and HR data & systems management.

Prior to working with Pratt full-time, as the owner of IRIS Consulting Services, Donna has spent the last 15 years developing human resources strategies and advising leaders of many nonprofit organizations. Her approach is to provide customized HR solutions that align directly with an organization's mission, vision, and values.

Under her leadership the HR department is building a service-focused, collaborative, and supportive environment for staff incorporating diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives. The department is creating and implementing policies, procedures, and processes to create an efficient, productive, and responsive HR program. Donna is proud to support these goals by building capacity and leading change efforts in service of Pratt’s mission “to empower, enrich, and enhance the quality of life for all through equitable access to information, services, and opportunity.”

In her free time, Donna enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. As a Marylander, she is an avid fan of the Orioles, the Ravens, and steamed crabs.
