Executive Operations Coordinator

Executive Operations Coordinator Rachel Scheuerman works as a member of the Executive Administrative Team to successfully plan for, execute, monitor, control, and close projects delegated by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Chief Operating Officer (COO). These projects range from large scale construction projects to smaller programmatic efforts. Rachel has coordinated successful projects for the system including the Hamilton Courtyard Renovation, the 2022 Master Facility Plan, and was instrumental to re-opening operations post-COVID19 closures. Rachel is also responsible for the efficiency and operations of the CEO's office, which includes the supervision of the Executive Assistant to the CEO as well as coordination of the use of the Central Library for large scale, non-library events. In addition, Rachel frequently represents the CEO and Executive Administrative Team with library staff and partners throughout the city.

Rachel Scheurman joined the Enoch Pratt Free Library in 2001. Prior to her current role, Rachel has held roles as Special Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer, Information Access Division Special Assistant, Circulation Manager, and Office Assistant at the Pratt. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in English from UMBC. Rachel was the winner of the Baker Award in 2014 and the Behind the Scenes Employee Award in 2011.

Rachel is a native of Brooklyn, NY but has lived in the Baltimore area for over 25 years. As a Pratt employee, Rachel enjoys working with experienced, thoughtful, and supportive colleagues, helping people, and supporting the Library's mission through successful project implementation.
