Imagination Celebration
Celebrate children's creativity and imagination with exciting programs throughout the month of April.

Imagination Celebration is a month-long celebration for children 0-5 and their families. Each year we select a book that encourages imagination, inspires creativity, and demonstrates our commitment to strengthening diversity and equity within the Baltimore City community.
During the 2025 event, Library staff distributed over 1,000 copies of this year’s title Your House Is Not Just a House by Idris Goodwin and Lorraine Nam. We welcomed a total of 1,550 attendees at the Imagination Celebration Kick-off Event on March 29, and during the month of April hosted a total of 25 programs attended by 593 people across 14 Library locations. In addition, we hosted author visits from Idris Goodwin and Lorraine Nam at two Baltimore City Public School locations and three Enoch Pratt Free Library locations, with a total of 250 attendees.

We'd like to thank everyone who joined us for the 2025 Imagination Celebration, and we look forward to welcoming you again in 2026!
In the meantime, you can borrow this year's selection from your local library and join us for fun, year-round creative programs and events for kids and young children.
