Nestor Diaz

Director of Marketing & Communications

Nestor Diaz leads the Enoch Pratt Free Library’s marketing and communications efforts, overseeing advertising, public relations, digital engagement, media relations and brand strategy to advance the Library’s mission and strengthen its connection with communities across Baltimore and Maryland.

In his role as Director of Marketing & Communications, Nestor provides day-to-day leadership for the Library’s marketing and communications team and works closely with internal departments and external partners to elevate awareness of Library programs, services, and initiatives. His responsibilities include overseeing media relations, social and digital strategy, internal communications, visual identity, budgeting and performance measurement, and serving as a key adviser to the CEO on messaging and public engagement.

Nestor brings more than a decade of experience in public library communications, previously serving as communications manager for the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System. There, he served as public information officer, led systemwide marketing and public relations efforts, managed a multidisciplinary communications team, coordinated media and emergency communications, and advised executive leadership. His work included oversight of digital platforms, social media, photography and video production, earned media, internal communications and major public events such as branch openings and groundbreakings.

Throughout his career, Nestor has received national recognition for excellence in library marketing and communications, including honors from the Urban Libraries Council, the American Library Association and the Maryland Library Association for innovative public-facing campaigns and advocacy efforts.
