Bankruptcy Forms & Instructions

The Commission acts to expand access to the quality of justice in civil legal matters for persons who encounter barriers in gaining access to Maryland’s civil justice system. Included on this site are links to forms and help for those who want to represent themselves in court.

Transportation not only controls motor vehicle matters but also aviation, the Port of Baltimore, transit and highways.  If it moves in Maryland this is the place to start.

Main portal for Maryland's legislature.  Includes information and status of bills, hearing schedules, how to contact legislators, and other pertinent information.

Maryland Judiciary

Information about the Maryland Court system (Orphan’s, District, Circuit, and Appellate Courts) and related agencies, including their locations, contact numbers, forms and fee schedules. Visitors to the site have searchable access to basic data on all civil, traffic, and criminal cases occurring in the state after October 1, 2004.  Reported Maryland Appellate Court Opinions since 1995 are also available.

The Maryland Manual is the guide to Maryland government that also includes local government and other information related to Maryland.

Maryland Municipal Codes Online

E-Codes: Municipal Codes on the Internet provides links to select Maryland Municipal Codes online. The Codes are organized through a table of contents structure and can also be searched by keywords. Codes for Anne Arundel, Frederick, Garrett and Montgomery Counties are found on a separate site.

Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service

The Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service provides free (and in some cases low cost) legal representation to Marylanders with limited income.  They also provide free legal help for community-based nonprofits that are working to strengthen low-income communities in Maryland.

Consumer complaints may be filed online with the Attorney General’s Office through this site. Information about initiatives to protect children, seniors, and consumers is made available here

Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland - Legal Services Providers

The Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland provides a list of legal services providers and local bar association pro bono projects throughout the state of Maryland. The site includes statewide programs, specialized programs, and local county pro bono services. Contact information is listed for each provider as well as a brief explanation about the services offered.

The People's Law Library

Maintained by the Maryland State Law Library, the People’s Law Library contains legal information on many topics, such as bankruptcy, disabilities law, family law and welfare law. A directory of places to find free legal help is also available here.
