The Information Services Department is located at the Central Library at 400 Cathedral Street.

Introduction

The Information Services Department provides quick answers to general reference questions in person at the Information Desk or over the telephone. It is the starting point for information about the Enoch Pratt Free Library, its services and programs.

Information Desk

Another CentralLocated in the main hall of the Central Library, the Information Desk is your entry point to the resources and services of the Central Library.

wheel2Available during the following service hours. Usually questions are answered within five minutes. If questions require more resources, or are more complex, the librarians at Telephone Reference will direct your call to the reference staff in the library subject departments.

Email is accessible by clicking here. Email is checked twice a day and responses are returned as quickly as possible, generally within a couple days.
