What is a Young Adult Program?

Enoch Pratt Free Library (EPFL) offers a wide variety of educational and recreational based programs for young adults. A young adult program is a program for library patrons between the ages of 11 and 18. Such programs have been developed to encourage teenagers to be an active part of the library. Therefore EPFL's young adult programs focus on topics that any teen would like. Programs are fun, interesting and also educational. Whether you’re trying to learn how to write poetry or kick box, EPFL may have the perfect program for you.

If you are a teen participating in the EPFL Summer Reading Program, your attendance at 4 young adult programs could also count towards 2 of the 8 books that you will need to read before the end of the summer. Also check out the EPFL (Compass) newsletter for additional program listings and detailed Summer Reading information. Obtain a copy of the Compass at your local EPFL branch or Central Library.
