The Enoch Pratt Free Library offers free access to the Tutor.com Learning Suite , an online tutoring service with three parts:
Student Center connects K-12 students to
- Expert tutors to help with homework assignments in Math, Science, English and Social Studies
- Proof Point - document review by a live English tutor
- In Spanish/En Español: Matematicas, Ciencias and Estudios Sociales
College Center connects college students to
- Career Help including live resume writing assistance, job search assistance and Interview prep
- Expert college level subject tutors in Math, Science, English and Social Studies
- GED Prep
- Proof Point - document review by a live English tutor
- In Spanish/En Español: Matematicas, Ciencias, Estudios Sociales and Preparacion de GED
Career Center connects adults to
- Back-to-School - a service designed to refresh basic academic skills for adults returning to the classroom
- Career Help including live resume writing assistance, job search assistance and Interview prep
- Citizenship exam prep
- GED Prep
- Proof Point - document review by a live English tutor
- In Spanish/En Español: Preparacion de GED, Ciudadania, Regreso a la Escuela
Live online tutors are available 2 p.m.-midnight.
Spanish-speaking tutors: available Sunday - Thursday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Ayuda en Español: Domingo a Jueves de 2 p.m. hasta 10 p.m.
The Skillscenter Resource Library at Tutor.com Learning Suite is always available with thousands of worksheets, study guides and tutorials to assist you. Preparation for standardized tests are included in the Skillscenter Resource Library also. Test titles include GED, AP(choice of 75 different subject tests), PSAT, SAT, GRE and LSAT among many others.
This free service is available on every library computer. You may also access Tutor.com's Learning Suite from computers outside the library with a Pratt Library Card.
