An exhibit of African bookbinding made by students in "Cultural Expressions," a workshop which encourages creative initiatives for youth from foreign countries. Using nontraditional materials, students in the Refugee Youth Project have created books that explore their cultures, identity and challenges. The goals of the "Cultural Expressions" program is to embrace traditions and promote cultural exchange in Baltimore.
Presented in partnership with Maryland Institute College of Art, the Refugee Youth Project, and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture.
