Aaron Henkin of WYPR-FM hosts the Maryland State Poetry Out Loud finals featuring nine regional winners who will compete for the championship, a $200 prize, and an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC for the national competition, April 27 - 29.
The Maryland State Arts Council has partnered with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation to conduct the 2010 Poetry Out Loud competition, which awards more than $100,000 in prizes to students and schools at the state and national levels.
