Wives and Daughters: Genealogy and the Female Ancestor

Maureen Taylor10:30 a.m. - Maureen Taylor, the 'Photo Detective,' talks about "Bringing the Past to Light: Photographs of the Women in Your Family." Taylor is an internationally recognized photo identification expert and family historian.

Barbara Vines Little\1 p.m. - Barbara Vines Little, immediate past president of the National Genealogical Society, talks about "Teasing the 'Silent Woman' from the Shadows of History."

She will discuss how records produced by others can help us discover what our female ancestors were really like. Vines Little is the editor of the Magazine of Virginia Genealogy.
