Pratt holds this historically important title in paper from first publication in 1976 to final publication in 1995. Named for the street in New York's Greenwich Village where the 1969 Stonewall Riots occured, CS focused on issues within the gay community and was widely read in its day.

According to Magazines For Libraries, GLRW  "rivals titles such as The New Yorker in tone and substance."  According to the GLRW Website, "The Mission of the [GLRW] is to provide a forum for enlightened discussion of issues and ideas of importance to lesbians and gay man; to advance gay and lesbian culture by providing a quality vehicle for its best writers and thinkers; and to educate a broader public on gay and lesbian topics." This bimonthly title is full-text searchable in Pratt electronic databases. It superseded The Harvard Gay & Lesbian Review in 2000.

Gay Life, published by the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Baltimore, was formerly called the Baltimore Gay Paper and, before that, the Gay Paper. Free current copies of this biweekly tabloid-sized newspaper are available at Pratt Central. The Periodicals Department holds the title on microfilm from April 1979 to  December 1986 and from May 2000 to the present.
