Blog Frame1Let’s chat!

That’s the simple concept of the Enoch Pratt Free Library’s new blog, Pratt Chat.

Since Enoch Pratt first opened the library’s doors more than 125 years ago, the Pratt Library staff have been meeting, interacting and helping our patrons. From the Information Desk to Telephone Reference, from our neighborhood branches to our Bookmobile, and from Facebook and Twitter to Instant Messaging, the library staff has a long history of engaging our patrons.  We’re hoping the Pratt Chat blog will continue the tradition with this new medium.

On a regular basis, Pratt Chat will spotlight the many events, programs, stories, collections and treasures at the Library. Pratt Librarians, staff and guest contributors will post regular dispatches from the EPFL and Baltimore community.  Our goal is to create an engaging online community with our patrons and help them (re)discover the Pratt Library’s amazing Blog Frame2array of services and collections.

Best of all this is our opportunity to share the wonderful stories of our patrons. Nearly two million people visit the Pratt Library every year.  The library is full of stories but we believe some of the best ones are from our patrons.

So we’re very excited to launch Pratt Chat today. Please feel free to engage directly with our bloggers in the comment stream.  We are excited to hear your thoughts and questions.
